About Bondi Ev

EV means home.
One-off pieces, born from the Mediterranean coastline.

Some things stay with you. The weight of a ceramic bowl passed around a table in Turkey. The way a long lunch stretches into golden hour without anyone noticing. The particular beauty of imperfect things — glazed, tactile, alive in your hands.
Bondi Ev was born from those moments.

Founder and Creative Director Robyn Pakula has spent years travelling the Mediterranean — Turkey, Greece, Italy, the south of France — drawn back again and again to the way people there eat and gather. Not just the food, but the ritual of it. The unhurried pleasure of a table set with beautiful things, laden with dishes, full of people you love.
Ev is the Turkish word for home. It’s also everything this brand is about.

Robyn brought that spirit back to Bondi Beach and into the studio, translating it into handmade ceramic dinnerware that carries the colour and feeling of those coastlines — coastal blues, warm earthy tones, the glow of a late afternoon sun. Each piece is shaped and glazed by hand in Australia, which means no two are identical. The slight variations, the organic edges, the depth of the glaze — that’s not a flaw. That’s the point.

At the centre of it all is the evil eye — the nazar — that ancient symbol of protection seen across Turkey, Greece and beyond. Robyn fell in love with its form long before she started making ceramics. It became the soul of the Bondi Ev mark.
These pieces are made for the table you want to set. The one with good food, good wine, and nowhere to be.
